Good Afternoon (EST)!

I have a bright yellow 1972 250, and am trying to find some touch up paint for it.

Unfortunately, I cannot make heads nor tails of the body/color plate on the car.

Below is the information from the plate. Can anyone help me read it to
determine the proper paint code? I am almost 100% positive this is the original paint and color.

Thanks in advance,
Jon B.

Hi Jon,

that won't be an easy task to find the correct yellow for your car.

The original color of your car was medium-blue "350".

Any decent paint shop can colour match your car, taking the petrol cap flap off and into the shop is what most people, better than buying a standard colour paint as being matched it will take into account any fading over the years.

There are so many codes to choose from..
Farbcodes

The original "Datenkarten" or "Data-card" would also state this info.
Your local dealer can contact MB-Classic Center also, and get the proper information..
(A full restoration could have ment a color upgrade)

*SIGH*

Well, it does appear she has a repaint, but they did a damned fine job. Only a spot or two in the engine compartment givers it away.

Now to find some color matched paint.

Thanks for all the responses.
