I bought a pair of leather headrests (beige) that are of a different color from my original leather seats (grey). I am planning on purchasing a re-coloring kit(using dye) to match the existing leather.

Does anyone know where I can find the color code for the seats? I have a 1998 ML320. I believe it is grey, but I am not certain whether it could be ash. Please help. Thanks

As I remember the only shade of gray available in 98 was ash. However, its not likely that a redye will even come close to the match of your interior. Besides, the dye will rub off and even ruin clothing.

Hi Glenn,

IMO I would not change the color just leave it like it is. You may not like the result if you do it yourself. Like sosh said it can ruin clothing and it will wash out later.[:(]
