i bought that sensor brand new, a couple of weeks ago while working on this issue.
He tests the CSV to make sure the sensor is doing its job. He finds that the CSV is not getting a signal because of a bad ground in the sensor circuit which is controlled by the FPRelay. His sensor is also new but not functional because of a faulty ground/earth. He rectify’s the bad ground and now has a functioning CSV which sprays fuel at the command of the sensor.

when i unplugged my sensor, it was making a nice mist of fuel, for one second only !!! so how long should the spray pattern last ? just when you crank it or it will keep misting till worming the engine ?

It will only spray for one second, nothing wrong with your CSV.

I have purchased the same unit from Autohaus for future use over a year ago. Never tried it, It did not have any Bosch or Mercedes insignia on the unit itself so I am more skeptical now......
My original is still on the car but the AutohausAz one certainly looks a little different than one a took from a Junk Car for reference.

Let's see how your original measures. BTW, your original is probably fine, mine is with a lot more miles on the car.
Why did you change yours in the first place?

Mine was worn out for some reason, I replaced it 8 months ago (RPM was jumping to 1500 and down to 500 every 1 second), I put one from a donor car with 88K miles on the clock.
when this issue (low idle) happenedi, bought the new one from Autohauz

Thanks for the reminder. Yeah, let's put the donor one on with 88Kmiles and take some measurements and a video.
Most JY cars I have tested with >150K miles were worse than mine for some reason, perhaps a manual transmission car is easier on the AFM pot, counter intuitively as it gets more exercise, but at least it sits in one spot less during its life. So wider sweeps but more of them maybe wears them more evenly, instead of one spot. Also my car is heavily city driving of ~200K miles. One type of driving all the time (like highway) most likely wears out a certain spot in the sweep.

Long story short, let's give that 88K mile one a shot, if it is truly 88K miles, it should be in fine shape. We will see ....

-Cheers!
