Hello,

My battery died and I had to jump start the car. Now, the radio, phone and rear shade will not work. The dealer said that the second battery needs to be recharged so now only the most vital functions of the car work.

Is this correct. Is there a re-set for the radio unit, etc.

Thanks,

I tried to hold the stereo power button with the reset button together and no luck. Do you all think I need to disconnect the battery in the trunk and that will fix it.

Thanks.

Ok, I had the car scanned at a local shop and they told me that there is no voltage going to the stereo and they could not wipe out the codes. They also said that there are several components that are tied to the electric system and may be something is fried not allowing voltage to the stereo unit.

Can anyone please help with this problem. Any techies here on the forum.

It looks that I am replying to my own questions with a made up solution.

Thank you for the direction. It seems that I should have started with the fuses. I found one fuse gone in the back #6 40 and one in the front #28 5.

The diagram lists fuse #28 as 15 A, but the car had a 5. Is this normal?

I will go to the dealer and buy these fuses. Hopefully it fixes the issue.

Hello,

Happy that helped you.... check above the main (front) fuse Box, you should find a "Free" Line with some spare fuses.

Sorry, are you refering to the driver side fuse box or another location? May be in the engine compartment?

Thanks
