I see they finally managed to get round the protection on the HDD.
Does not help me with my problem, my drive is water damaged and will not spin up.
If I manage to find someone to clone their drive, would it work in mine (could I configure it in DAS or would it plug and play)
I have purchased the exact same drive 40GB Toshiba MK4050gace and swapped the main board hoping to recover the wet drive but still did not spin up. I could supply the new 40GB drive and payment to anyone willing to clone it. (Im in the USA)
