Hello all, new to the forum, but not new to Mercedes. I have a question, I have a 2003 CLK500, I don't believe it has premium sound, no Harmon & Kardon tags anywhere... Either way, I have that garbage mini single sub in the rear deck. I have my bass all the way up, my treble half down, my fader set half to the rear and my EXE set on Driver. And still have less bass than my computer speakers!
Because this is a subwoofer, is there an aftermarket option that can drop right in? I used to have a 15" Kicker L7 using its signal lines for a source, but I had a aftermarket amplifier to power it, so I know an aftermarket sub will work, I just need to know if I can just drop one in without using a different amplifier. All I am looking for is the w211 E class bass note-without the cost of the EClass sub.
