CLK430 Bose needs more bass

Has anyone found a solution to adding a sub and amp to the Bose system? I don't want to replace the Bose unit b/c it controls other options. I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about.

Unless I completely replace the stereo am I stuck with what Bose has provided? I hate the way Bose makes you only use their provided equipment. I'm sure they don't want people screwing around with their sound, but it's starting to make cars with Bose systems become unattractive since I know I'll have to spend much more money to get it sounding how I want.

I had a self amplified sub made by Infinity called the Basslink which sound pretty good if you just want a little something more for your car and it will link to your existing factory system.

I too had a local installer install a JL Audio 500W Amp driving a JL Audio 10" Sub.

Lately, I've removed the sub and amp because I also find myself being deaf from the bass, even after decreasing the bass setting.

I might end up selling the amp and sub...

How did you link it to your existing factory system? Did you tap from the speakers on the rear deck?

Thanks,

Looks clean! How did you integrate the amp into the existing factory system?

By using simple hi-low converters and tapping into the remote power lead to the amp. Very simple and highly effective. I normally use RCA connections, but since I didn't want to replace the head unit this is the best alternative.

If this doesn't make sense then go to a local stereo shop and they'll hook you up. I used a single Diamond audio 12" sub and an amp I already had (kicker zr240 rated at 360watts).
If you sell the amp and sub let me know I may hook it up in my wife's ML or a friends S4.
