CLK will take IS back to driving school!

YOU MUST be kidding me,CLK's engine is something else, int he twists tho,I also think the IS may have little advantage but altogether, the CLK will take the IS back to Driving School.

saam....when is the last time you read cars review? Two years ago? Just name one car magazines......
that give the clk 320 a good review in 'handling', NONE..buddy!!! As for the IS300, all the car magazines give very good review in handling and guess what car they are compared it with? BMW!!! Is your Clk 320 had modified suspension, then is another story.

One big disadvantage of the CLK is that it uses recirculating ball..

which doesn't give much driver input which is a big factor when auto-x'ing, etc. Comparing two equally skilled drivers, one with the CLK, the other with the IS, both stock, I would say that the IS would win.

EXACTLY...Frank !!! If you take the Clk 320 throught a fast corner, there's no feed back at all.....
the steering ratio is slow.

I have a friend who drives a IS300 wants to race me, I'll tell you guys about it once we raced )

His IS only has bodykits.

Mine is lowered, 18' wheels, spoiiler, and muffler.

Most likely we'll race off the line.

The subject line was truncated Linh. It does this if it's too long.

I had to put in since sometimes, when the subject is really long, it doesn't get added to the db so the subject doesn't appear at all.

Try posting most of your message in the message box instead.

But recirculating ball does NOT mean worse handling...

The recirculating ball steering will give less feedback to the driver, but it doesn't lower the car's cornering capabilities. The CLK's downfall is its soft suspension, not the steering.

Re: Yes, the IS is often compared to the 3-series. But I've yet to see it win.

thats what I said,I did say that the IS would have better handling but straight path then the CLK would be better.

IS better handling

Thats what I said, the IS would probably have better handling on corners but in straight paths, the CLK would show its strength.

Very true. It does not mean worse handling...

Just advantageous to the driver using the IS with rack and pinion steering as it is more precise.
