I have a 2005 CLK 500 and I'm looking for a little advice. I want to install a sound processor, a couple of amps, and replace all speakers. Here are my questions:
If anyone has done anything similar to this I would love to hear your story and maybe see some pics! Any other advice is also welcome. Thanks!!!
- Sound Processor - Is there room under the dash or in the center console to install a processor? It needs to be near the HU to hook in to the speaker outputs. Its a small unit, maybe a little bigger than 2 or 3 CD cases stacked up.
- Crossovers - Is there room in the doors to mount the front crossover?
- Rear Tweeters - I want to mount the rear tweets somewhere in the back seat area. Any suggestions? I still want to keep the rear mids in the doors. How about rear crossover locations?
- Sub Woofer - Has anyone made a custom enclosure that will allow the subs to still fire through the rear deck? I checked the trunk area and it looks like there would be room under there. It's a lot more work, but I would rather not have to remove a box if I need the trunk space for travel.
