The phone in my '99 CLK 430 is an analog phone and in the SF Bay Area digital cell phone service is all there is. Is a compatible digital phone available?

The '00 Phones will work in '99 models...

The '00 phones are digital, but not quite as compatible with the various carriers as the Timeport phones in '01 models. I know that the '00 phone will work in '99 vehicles, but I've been told that the '01 phone doesn't work in '99/'00 vehicles. You should verify because the '01 phone is much better. Either way, it's an expensive upgrade. It'll easily cost $1500 including installation.<br>
