Got my CLK last year but lately I've been seeing shitload of them on the roads.

I was thinking about getting a Porsche 911.

Anybody owned one before?
Would you trade you CLK for a 911?

Chicago.

I fell in love with a chick driving a white 430 Conv.

I see her everyday on my way to work.

Can't wait to pull up next to her at a light.

people notice clks with rims more than stock porsche's..
[}:)]It's all a matter of taste. Category 1. Some people like to go into a wheel shop and drool. Category 2. Others go into a Porsche dealer with a box of Kleenex in hand. I'm not sure a car with rims make people stop unless they fall into category one.

I'm not in either category. I did own a 2002 CLK 55 AMG and loved the car even if it rivaled a Jaguar for time spent in the dealer's screwed up service department where Larry, Curly and Moe worked.

is that porsche like 100k anyways? i thought youw ere talking about like a 98 911 which would be closer to the price range of a 2002 clk..
I'm shooting for a 2000-2001 Carrera 911

and upgrading it with a GT2 Body kit.

I'm not dishing out more than $37K.

There is no question here...

go with the porsche. It is so much hotter than the clk. Sure you'll lose the slight practicality edge that the clk has over the carrera but its a porsche! Im just glad that you arent looking at boxters...no offense anyone, but carreras to me are the ideal German coupe` CLKs are nice, but the porsche badge, the rear engine, and that steering wheel are just unbelievable. Go porsche, definitely.

Thanks

Boxter are terrible. Its a car for a women not a man.

When I bought my CLK I didn't notice too many of them out there. Now when I look through the advertising web sites and car sales magazines you can buy a 99 for in the teens.

Not a eye cachting car anymore. I rarely ever see a guy in his early 20's driving a Porsche.
