CLK gear selector problem....

My gf's clk will not shift from OD to drive,or even into any of the lower gears. One day it was fine then the next this problem.Any help would be great.

If it's still under warranty, take it to the dealer. Does she have a 2000+ clk with the ti...

If it's still under warranty, take it to the dealer. Does she have a 2000+ clk with the tiptronic style shifter? Or is it a pre-2000 with the manual gear selection?

Its a pre 2k Josh,automatic.

if that's the case then something must be lodged in the shiftgate and preventing it from...

if that's the case then something must be lodged in the shiftgate and preventing it from down shifting. Although you could always try taking the console apart to look and see what's stuck in there, you might want to take it to the dealer or a good mechanic.
