Hi guys, I'm new to this forum and I have a question about a 2000 CLK 430 coupe I'm interested in. The dealer states that it is a CLK 430 AMG, but it doesn't have the AMG tag on the back. Also, I've see quite a few CLK 430's around, some with the AMG tag, but most without. Are they the same car or do the owners just buy the tags afterwards? Thanks for your help.

All CLK 430's are the same. Sometimes the dealer puts the AMG badge on and sometimes the individual owner. The reason why some put it on is because of the look and the fact that the 430 comes with AMG body kit and wheels.

The only real true AMG is the 55.
