Hi,i have a 2000 clk 430 convertible and recently developed a rattle inside the drivers door,it's coming from the rear of the door,does anyone have any idea what this could be.Thanks.Grant.

Me three and it has only started doing it when the weather warmed up in Sydney

It's driving me nuts when I drive, as I keep thinking my son is doing something at the back, so I turn around to catch him in the act and he just innocently smiles at me LOL

ive found its a more squeaky rattle, and its from where the top of the back edge of the door meets the seal when its closed. as horrible as it sounds, try rubbing some saliva on it before you close the door, it works for me as a temporary fix but am looking to find a way of softening up the seal again.

p.s - i only resorted to the saliva as with the 4 hour commute i am doing at the moment the noise in my ear was driving me insane!

I hear the same but it goes away if I slightly lower the driver's window from it's full up position. It's definitely a metal rattle, not loud, but a bit annoying. I'm thinking it comes from the mechanism that opens and closes the window.

clk w208 convertible door rubber/seal

Hi,does anyone know where to get the rubber that goes on the rear window, (not merc dealer)it's where the front window closes onto it.Thanks.Grant.

Hi i have investigated this door rattle by taking door panel off,the white window runner has come off,does anyone know where this should be attached.Thanks.Grant.
