Hi, my 87 300td wagon has begun to click(exact sound as the turn signal) from the kick panel to the right of the front passenger footwell. Is there a relay in there? It does it all the time but it may be stopping after the car sits off a while. Is this familiar to anyone?

The clicking is your alarm relay. Pull up the footwell carpet and you'll see a black plate that covers/protects the relay. Remove the plate and there will be a rectangular relay with two clusters of wire plugged to. Relay should say Becker on it. Pull the plugs and the clicking will stop. Your alarm will not work, but the clicking will be gone.

Good Luck,

Jayare
