The gents on the 129 forum have been discussing availability of the older manuals on DVD, and have published the following links. Thought someone here might like to investigate...

This is the catalog of available literature:
Mercedes-Benz Classic - Classic Literature - New Products

And this where you can purchase it:
Mercedes-Benz Collection Shop - Modellautos (1:18, 1:43, 1:24, 1:87) - Uhren, Mercedes-Benz Fahrzeug-Pflege, Kinder-Spielzeug, Technische Literatur

...and here is a link to the thread on the 129 forum:

I'd like to know if the DVD is just the contents of the old CD on DVD, or is it really each and every page of the engine, chassis, climate control, and electrical manuals. If it is (and only if it is is) it's worth it, but beware, I've found that DATA DVD's are much more fragile than data CD's, probably because of the bit density. If a a few bytes of a video DVD is missing, you'll never see it.

I took a brief look at the catalogue... several other publications and literature available as well.
