Hello Everyone,

I just purchased 20's for my 04' CL500 Front - 20/9 & 20/10 Rear..
Tires - 245/35/20 Front & 285/30/20 Rear.. After mounting the tires myself there seemed to be a rubbing/knocking noise coming from the rear tires.. Anyone know what this problem may be? Did I go to big on the tires?

Also, I'm looking to lower the car but when looking inside the front wheel well there seems to be a control arm directly over the tire almost an inch away.. Sorry I'm a total newbie and wanted to know how to get around this.. Any help would be much appreciated.

What offset wheels are you running? Usually with the 10x20 rear the CL uses about a 38-40mm offset and also a 275/30R20 tire size. I have seen the 285/30R20's used but in addition to having the rear fenders rolled, there is a plastic piece there that needs a slight trim. This should solve your rubbing issue.
