OK, why are you selling it? Are you seeking to replace it with the older hood? If so, then I might be interested in swapping out my '01 CKL55 stock hood for yours. Of course, I would add cash to the deal.

I'm sorry, but why would you put something like that on your Mercedes? I prefer being able to see the star on the hood, from inside the car.

It saves 50lbs making the car just a little bit faster. I've read other post that outline this as about a 20-25HP gain equivilance. I also prefer the newer "Larger Star" look of this as it looks more like the newer CLK's. It also makes the car more unique. There are a LOT of Silver "plain-jane" CLK's out there and I would be interested to make mine a little more unique. I can't afford $2K but would be willing to pay $1K for it...
