I went to plug my radar detector into my lighter and found it "plugged". I pushed down, tried to pry up, but can't get a cavity with contacts to put my plug in. What's the trick? See photo.

Thank you!!!

plug it in...it will (should) pop itself. I have gotten them out w/ dental hooks if that doesn't work.

RE: cigarette lighter question - SOLVED

I just discovered that the cig. lighter was unplugged. Very short harness, but I got it back in and now it's fine.

there's a plug underneath the radio which plugs into the back of the ashtray/ lighter unit.

Well, double check them..replcae the fuse that feeds the lighter just out of principle. If you have aluminum fuses replace them w/ copper. Who ever decided to manufacture alum. fuses must have Not been thinking.

Let me know if you could use a fuse kit.
