Has anyone used these? The price seems too good to be true and you know what that means.
Dealer wants $795 each and these sell for $53. Literally the price of one flex boot for the entire 'new' shaft?
It's such an easy job to do ...I might try them just to let everyone here know how they work out.

Thx, Don't know if I'll get them but there is a 12 month warranty. It's tempting to try them at the price.

LOL!
I'm sure there is quite a bit of quality difference but $1600 vs $106 And the job doesn't take me that long. I might try them just for the hell of it to find out how good/bad they are. Get some boots $50 and replace lubricant for my old shafts, switch sides with them and keep for spares. My face won't be that red.

Expensive chop sticks and about as strong I reckon.

If they let go when you're driving it'll be a sweet and sour experience.

LOL, don't forget tax of 10%.

When they fail they usually give you months of notice and even then they would probably work. If you look at the design you will see why I'm not too worried.

Worth a punt I'd have thought. You never really know the quality till you try them.

A few things to think about. What would be the result of failure, will they slap around like a prop shaft - damage other components in the process. Will they leave you stranded. Will they stop you dead on the wrong side of the road while overtaking another car...........??

Just about burned my car up with a Chinese relay.

There is a huge price difference on the shaft... What is the OEM reseller price?

Fifty three frightens me

Why not get remans? Rock Auto has some for 120, seems like a good compromise and less risky than a new Chinese part.

Reseller OEM is around $250-$380 depending. online reman from $120-$380.

Yeah, $53 is really cheap for new...I'll decide pretty soon.

I haven't decided yet. I am just asking if anyone here has used them. I still might go with remans from reputable source...maybe I'll just get some boots from RockAuto for $10 each. and "rebuild" mine there is no noticeable play in mine, just the boots are no good. I can put the left one on the right side and rt. on the left side to have a better bearing surface during acceleration. Old technique with these joints that I think everyone knows about. They are really interesting when you take them apart, I would like to see how they are machined.

Yes mate, but then what happens, that's the key......... :):)
True, that is the question. This CV design is very robust and I have never seen one explode. Catastrophic failure in these things is pretty much unheard of.
BUT I could be the first to have that happen. ;)

I was once forced to buy Chinese-made CV boots for my VW Bus. A few thousand miles later they had already become brittle and split open.

Do not use Chinese parts!

"There is hardly anything in the world that some men cannot make a little worse and sell a little cheaper, and the people who consider price only, are this man's lawful prey." - John Ruskin

i have had BAD experiences with chinese parts and cannot recommend them at any price!
