I'm really not getting enough chances to exercise my lockers.

Anybody been to either of these:

http://www.thecliffsinsaneterrain.com/index.html

http://rorp.com/home.html

http://www.badlandsoffroad.com/

If anybody w/ a Unimog frequents any of these let me know! I'd really like to see what one can do - and you can pull my G out if I get stuck (stock tires are horrible - Nitto Terra Grapplers coming in the fall).

Cliffs is a tight mudpit, unsuited for much of anything except ATV's and Sammis, IMO...

Never been to Rockport but have heard it's real tight. Sort of like Redbird SRA south of Terra Haute, IN.

Now, Badlands......that's another story. Great place for anything from deep mud to serious rock crawling/body damage/carnage. Been there a bunch of times in my Rover but have not had the Mog there yet. But, like any "riding area", once you've been there, you've been there.

For a little longer drive, there's always the Nicolet Forest Pipeline. If you know where you're going, you can get in trouble there. But, my 416 pretty much spanked all it had to offer last fall (and it does offer [:0] ).

Keith,

Thanks for the tips. Badlands might be an option. Most of my offroading is in the Antigo/Rhinelander area of WI. The Nicolet Forest runs up there too - I'm assuming there is someplace closer?

Where do you live? Anyway I could beg you for a chance to see your mog? I'm in Chicago proper.
