89 Mercedes 190e must go today special price today and tomorrow only

Seeing this car makes me want to scream! I could spend a day itemizing what's wrong with this car and the listing's copy.

I put this up here to remind my fellow W201 owners that at least by our presence on here we want to treat our cars properly and keep them in optimal condition. Its cars like this that make me wish I could develop a luxury car sanctuary like they do for neglected/abused animals

Hey, at least for the price ($650) someone either gets a good parts car or a starter project.
It's close enough to me that I would be interested if I was in a position to spend on it.
Since I have 5 cars, and of those 3 up for sale, I neither have the free funds or the space for it.( I buy/sell, and enjoy em in the process)
Too bad. My 190E was recently wrecked and resurrected, but not to my satisfaction. I did what I could on her. She was technically totaled from a front end dive under a P/U truck, and I patched her up to run the winter. It looks fair, but I would love to get another 190E

Good point, but I doubt you ever put a cheesy claw graphic on the hood of yours, right? Why couldn't these people just get a Honda if all they wanted to do was to make their car look tacky? Hondas are famous for that already lol

This car has been a perennial non-seller on Craigslist in my area for at least the past 6 months, initially they had it listed at nearly $4000, like the fugly mods were an added value concept (facepalms)

Not quite, I live in Seattle and know next to nothing about Pink Floyd beyond the songs of theirs I like and that they always went out of their way to make their album covers a real mindfawk to look at.

The hammers were from "The Wall" video. Symbol of the gestapo style police/gov't on the movie.
It was probably their last good seller/album, but I liked "the Division Bell" that came out later.
(sorry, I'm having flashbacks)

I am with you there, artwork like that has no business on a 190. Even more astonishingly is when this first hit the local Craigslist they featured that godawful hood graphic as a selling point when it was still listed around $4 grand continuing well into the middle $3000s as time and good taste moved on

Maybe a Firebird T.A. hood graphic(bird) would have made it sell and go faster.

Their graphic looks like a really unoriginal combo of the M from the Monster energy drink logo and bear on the label of Big Bear Malt Liquor. How much Big Bear they had to consume to feel hood graphics on a Benz were a good idea, I do not know.....

Given the option (and I have it) I wouldn't ever own a Honda. I had one. It was a mistake.
Not to mention fair trade practices of the Japanese not allowing sales of our cars over in their country, without a major battle and high tariffs.
Mind you, this is really only important to new car buyers, but we are the ones who give the original owners a secondary market for their vehicles. No japanese car will be owned by me unless trade practices change.

Thus I buy from countries who fair trade. Even when Jap cars are made here, profits leave this country. Euro and american are my mainstays.

So I am not claiming a 190E is a better car or valued higher. It is however a more fiscally responsible option, and it does do things that no equivalent Honda can do, like run 100+mph all day with no effort.

But...support who you wish.

Fascinating, I never knew used cars of all brands decrease in value as years and mileage compound, wowwww. Are we hurting you or somehow disrupting your life with our enthusiasm for our common model of Benz? I can accept the fact that other people may not be as psyched as some of us about the 190 so how does it become a huge deal when we mention as such on here. You know this is in the 190/W201 section of the forums, right? Where else would Benz owners of this kind of car tend to congregate? If I want to call foul on someone who let their car get all decrepit and ugg it up with lame accessories, maybe I will.
