Yeah mine popped on the other day when I was in the parking lot of Target. It went off on it's own though. Is yours still on? Maybe swap out the bulb with a well known good one and see if it goes away. I think it's sometimes a little sensitive to voltage fluctuations.

 

Thanks Matthew. Do you know what bulb it is referring to? Is it the fog light?

 

I believe it's the orange turn marker...I think. I never did check mine as they all seemed to work and the message went away.

 

The front parking lamps are the so-called "eyelids" over the headlamps. There are two bulbs per side. My guess is that one bulb is starting to go bad or has a bad contact. Try swapping the bulbs side to side and see if the message follows. The bulbs can be a little tricky to get out and require some force. Good luck! For replacement bulbs, some people here like AZN optics' LED line, the really add a nice look to the car and get rid of the yellowish color of the stock bulbs.

 

It happened to me on AZN's but after while disappeared. Weird...

 

New Bulbs, where to buy

Just bought a 2010 c300. The "check front right parking lamp" and "check left sidemarker lamp" messages are both being displayed on my dash. Both lights are out and have not come on since buying (2 weeks). Wanted to replace both sidemarker lamp bulbs and both parking lamp bulbs with some AZN optics but unsure what to buy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

easy way to find out if bulb is bad but it looks good is to flick at the bulb. lot of time filament is started to burn up.

Just posting here, as this seems to be a good thread about Parking Lights...

My 2004 Mercedes Benz C230 (Sedan with L4 Engine) is giving the following 3 Error Messages:
"CHECK FR. L. PARK LIGHT"
"FR. L. PARK BACKUP LIGHT RUNNING"
"CHECK FR. R. PARK LIGHT"

I Googled a bit, and many people, sites and Canadian Tire seemed to think that the Marker Lights are the Parking Light.

I confirmed they are not, because when I pull out the Marker Light bulb, it clearly gives a different message saying the the "CHECK FR. L. MARKER LIGHT".

The main problem is, all the bulbs seems to be running, and I don't know which bulb the Error is talking about.

It also comes up only when the car goes into a tunnel, or if I am driving into my garage. ie going from day light into darker areas. That's when the warning pops up on the dash.

Please let me know which light exactly is the Parking Light.
