1997 E300D 118,440 mi. Check engine electronics warning and no kickdown acceleration. Dealer replaced a transducer valve last week. Smooth acceleration w/kickdown for 6 days. Yesterday the ck engn is back on, no kickdown. Upon hard acceleration, the tach freezes at about 4K, speed at about 45 mph. If I slightly release and then slowly advance throtle, I have smooth acceleration from 0 to top speed. Back to dealer today, 2 supervisors worked on my car to find no solution. They advist to start replacing things until the problems are fixed. Left shop driving smoothly. Chk engn light back on tonight. Any advice?

There is no MAF on this car.
I have the same intermediate problem with the same model, that I bought few months ago.
In my case the slow acceleration and CEL happens only on cold morning and once warmed up, everything goes away. CEL might disappear on its own after few start-ups, or I can clear it with OBD II.
The error says "pedal sensor" (in my words). New sensor is $560 so I hesitate to buy it since the problem happens only occasionally and as your sample shows (again) there is no guarantee, that after spending the money, the problem is going to end.
What is "transducer valve"?
