my check engine light keeps comin on wondering how i find out what is the cause the car runs fine but sometimes hesitates starting its a 97 with 100 000 could it be my battery is goin? does anyone know how to find out what is causein the check engine light to come on thanks for your help

Blood, you need to have codes read. This can be done with a generic OBDII scanner. You can buy one for yourself at most auto part stores for about $150. Or take the car any mechanic or an Autozone -- there they will do it for free.

I have the same car. It is either your MAF (mass air flow sensor) or O2 Sensor in most cases. To be sure, you have to have the codes read by an OBDII scanner. Go to your local autozone and ask them to read the code for you.

They'll do it for free. Then buy the replacement part and change it yourself if you're a DIY kinda guy. It's pretty easy.
