I have a 2000 W210 E55 AMG.

I recently installed some PIAA Dual LED bulbs into the Front Bumper Side Markers of my car (I have Euro Spec Clear Side Markers).

I keep getting a Malfunction Warning, saying "Check Bulbs".

Does anyone know how to get around this?

not tryin to be a smart *ss but go back to the originals to cure the problem.

Maybe the circuit is sensitve to voltage and most likely the new LED bulbs are using more voltage thus causing the check light to go on.

Actually, the problem is that the LED's use so little current that the car believes the bulbs are bad. There are add on resistors available that increase the current draw to keep the electronics happy, but they can get hot enough to cause damage depending on how/where you mount them.

Thanks for the reply Fast55.

Do you know where I can get my hands on one of those resistor packs? Can I get it modified at the dealership?

Any input that you can give me, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Try http://www..com. Several others sell them as well.

Well, the site edited my link from the "other" board. It's For My Mercedes.com, obviously without the spaces.
