There's really a lot of things you can do to increase the power of your car without losing a lot of money. I would not recommended this unless you know what you're doing. 1. Advance the time of your car by moving the distruibutor 2. Go buy yourself a Catalyst Converter from junkyard and hollow it out (by doing this your car will gain at least 10 hp) 3. Reduce the weights of your car by removing stuff that you don't necessary need (like your spare tire). These are some of the stuff that I could think of right now. Remember don't do it if you don't know what you are doing.
A small outfit in So Cal has a pulley kit for the MB V6 (C320, C240) that people claimed they got good results from, about 12HP in the midrange. Their website is http://shoshop.com/ and the man to talk to is Vadim. They sell the kit for about $500 US and with the favorable exchange rate, it's probably a bargain for you.
You can play with exhaust and intake but I don't believe you'll see much of an increase, maybe 2-3 HP. Supersprint makes a good exhaust for that car and maybe K&N filter. I would avoid a foam filter like ITG in that car because of the very shallow filter box can be blocked by really thick filters.
That's probably it in the best bang for the buck, after that comes supercharger kits from Kleemann that are far from what a C-class owner would call cheap.
I am helping my dad with an issue. When he turns the car off this red light starts blinking. The arrow is pointing to the light in question just to the left of the function button #7. When this blinks it runs the battery down quickly. If he disconnects the battery then reconnects it, the light...
Well, it looks like it's finally happening.
After 2 years of ownership reaching just over 200,000kms on the car, my 2007 C280 finally illuminated with the P0016 code: Camshaft Position Correlation - Bank 1 sensor A. The code goes off regularly but the computer always manages to pick it back...
I am pretty sure the spark plugs I bought are the wrong gap. Lots of bluish smoke coming out after changing the plugs I think they are gapped wrong, figured they were pre gapped. Anyone know what they should be at? Thanks!
