its right at the engine - bellhousing transition at the back of the engine. follow the coaxial connector from the EZK electronic ignition module, that should lead you right to it.
there are no scanners or special tools required, one bolt (I think allen head?) removes it. it IS in a rather hard place to reach, you need an extension on the driver, and pretty much have to feel your way around since you can't get a line of sight on it.
