Anyone know what the ceramic resistor located just behind the grill, passenger side is for? Checked all wiring diagrams can't seem to find.

what is the purpose of the auxilliary fan? can the car be driven with it inoperable?

the reason why i ask ,,, when i was trying to figure out why all my dashboard 'idiot' lights went on (see earlier post if you care) ,,, i was hunting around in the fuse box and - by accident - broke #12 fuse, which according to the panel descriptions is the fuse for the auxilliary fan. so i assume it no longer works. just something else to have my mechanic look at on tuesday when he tries to diagnose the dashboard 'idiot' lights problem.

The aux fan is there to cool the condenser (and the radiator) when either the coolant or the refrigerant reach a certain temperature. Yes, the car can be driven with it inop, just watch the temp gauge if you use the A/C.
