Talking about center console storage boxes, I just came across this, from Performance Products:

look for the old armrest style boxes, they have a locking mechanism and are solid!---they replaced the whole armrest and at the time could fit the big a$$ cellphone in them with the base unit hiding the wires within the seat

So you're of the opinion that those aftermarket storage boxes are flimsy, right, and not sufficiently sturdy? (Good to hear opinions...so be my guest.)
