Hi,

For the past month i have no boost after the first 1km of driving in the morning.

Every day, its fine for the first 3-4 minutes, but then i just dont get any boost!

Since it does boost first thing in the morning, i think my turbo is fine, as is the plumbing.

So i suspect that it might be the fuel pump. Since i regularly top up from a gerry can and jiggler siphon, the jiggler has small plastic tip that appears to make shavings as i pull it out of the tank. Could these minute particles over time, cause fuel starvation, hence no boost after the first couple of minutes driving?

Even after the car has sat at work for 8 hours, i still dont get boost.

But guaranteed, the next morning (after the car has sat parked for 14 hours) it will boost up.

What are your thoughts?

regardless of whether it is your problem, you should definitely change the fuel filter if you're dumping shavings into the gas tank.
