Just picked up my 2002 clk 430 this morning. My question is in regards to the cd changer. The dealer wanted $800 plus tax but I opted to install it myself by buying the oem changer from autoclasse. My question is where are the fiber optic cable and power supply located in the back of the trunk? Is it by the driver side or the passenger side? Also where would the changer be mounted? Would there be any type of configuration with the audio system in the dash that would need to be implemented? Thanks in advance for your help.
Those instructions are for the SLK - the CLK doesn't require you to pull out the head unit, nor does it require you to reconfigure the fiber optic cables.

My 99 CLK was plug and play, literally. The wires are on the right side of the trunk, under the spare tire cover. Just mount the changer to the L-shaped bracket that AutoClass provides, plug the wires into the changer and drop the bracket into the well on the right side of the trunk. Screw the 2 supplied screws into the factory pre-drilled holes in the sheet metal, and you're finished. Insert some discs and play, play, play
