Hi, I have 2006 350 SL, with CD changer problems.
I don't seem to be able to remove the changer from the storage box behind the passenger seat.
Removed the front cover, CD tray access cover and felt top trim, the the 2 screws through the front.
There is something else holding the changer but I can't see what.
Do you need to completely dismantle the storage box to remove the changer.
Help anyone(probably missing something obvious)

Plymouth not to far from my hometown Portsmouth. Unfortunately youve got to remove the storage compartment completly which inlcudes removing the interior side and rear panle to access the bolts, its also quite a tug youve got to do to pull the storage box off of the 2 rear plugs ( pull up firmly and gently ), with the storage box out you can remove cd changer- (performed on a 03 SL so assume to be similar)

Keep playing with the eject button. Turn ignition on and off and keep pushing eject. Mine finally ejected after like 2 minutes. It happened twice. It's worth the try. Disassembly takes long time.

thanks for the replies, got the cassette to release, now get a 'device not available' message in comand, makes me think there is an inherent problem somewhere.
