1999 ML-320 w/ factory 6 CD changer. Is this a Mercedes produced item? If not will it plug in to other pre-wired German cars? Like a 2002 BMW 3 series. Sorry for the stupid question. It sure would be nice to switch between the two vehicles vs. a $300 BMW cd changer. I do not like paying BMW or related for anything.
1999 ML320 CD changer is manufactured by Panasonic.
the 2002 BMW 3-series CD changer (for cars without GPS) is manufactured by Alpine.
In both cases, the respective manufacturer makes the changer with a plug specific for the vehicle manufacturer.
So even if they were the same changer, they would have different plugs. And moving one back and forth would be a pain.
$250 for an aftermarket CD changer is not that bad for your BMW. It could be $600 for one for a newer Mercedes.
