Hello, I attempted to install a new cd changer 3198 with my 2.0 comand unit. At first it said cd changer starting. Then it said no cd changer and still does. I connected the connector to c1 and c2 and the orange cable in the comand. Also the red cable coming out of the c2 connector is isolated from other cables. I have the yellow and brown female cable in the cd changer. The cd changer has power and I was able to insert a cd into the magazine. Do I need to do something different? Do I need to change the configuations? Please respond to the thread or pm me. Thanks in advance for the support.

Can you describe your fibre installation more accurately. Which other devices do you have on the fibre ring. You say "the orange cable in the comand", didn't you connect two orange cables on each device to form a fibre loop?

yes i have two orange cable in the loop. one from the cd changer to the comand headunit. it seems since the magazine is ejecting, the cd changer is not pulling the cds from the magazine to the cd player to play the cds.
