Have just purchased a 2001 E-320...and looks like I will need to replace the right side catalytic converter on this car...the left rear one has been done with a OEM unit...the guy I took the car to for it's first oil change said that I need to look at changing the right side...and he stated not to use anything but MB parts...

what is your experience with OEM...parts....

Thanks...

Those carry a factory warranty of 8 years and 80,000 miles so you might squeak by and get that replaced for free.

I have not had to replace any cats but I have been under a warranty so the dealer has put OEM everything on my car. There will always be exceptions, but I think the MB replacement parts are the way to go.

racepages.com

carry oem cats, how many miles on the car?
where are you located?
racepages.com can also get ca carb cert cats if you do live in ca.
If not in ca just get the oe cat unit only and have it spliced in.
ohlord:bowdown:
you can also google eastern cats for universal oe applications.
Did the guy use fleece filter and mobil1 0w40 oil?
if not be wary of anything he has to offer.
And why not diy your own oil changes, learn about the car and that way you wont get taken every time you pull into a shop
