[:(!] Help!
My SLK32 shares the garage with my wife’s 4matic wagon, and a semi feral cat. This cat has his own door, and comes and goes as he pleases. He even has a small heated sleeping place. He has always respected our Benzes and kept off of them. That was until we went on holiday this November, and returned to find kitty footprints completely covering both cars. Luckily there was no Kitty Kak or miscellaneous mouse parts stuck on the finish. Any suggestions on how to deal with this?

2 solutions.
1. Get a dog
2. Cover your car

I do have the same problem too. Somehow, the cat seems to have "good taste" and always pick my SLK.

If you don't wanna do that, put some towel on the hood and all flat surface, at least, you won't have the footprint.

Hehe happened to me once...I was picking up this girl for prom a a couple years ago and while I was inside their cat just walked all over the car and was sitting on the hood when I came out.

But anyways...just condition the cat to not go on the cars. Hook a weak battery up to the car so when the cat goes on it, it'll get a slight shock and won't do it again. Or wax the hood so when it goes on there, it just slides off..weeee... A car cover would be annoying to put on and take off all the time. Good luck!

LOL sometimes u guys make me laugh, its still pretty twisted humor though [:D]

I had the same problem at work. There are several cats that hang out and like to relax on the heated hoods. Anyway my local pet store had a spray that appearently cats dont like so I put a squirt on a rag, put one on the hood, one on the trunk and the cats keep away. After a few days they never did it again. I do remember a neighbor that kept her cat from acting up with a squirt gun. seemed to work very well and after awhile all she had to do is squirt the gun at all and the cat stopped doing whatever it was doing. The only problem w/giving the car a good wax and the cat sliding off is if theres any gravel stuck in its paws its drug across your paint.

Not that hard, when you wash your car, give it a good wax coat. If your cat puts prints on the car they will simply wipe off in two seconds. I've done it before with dried up bird crap.
