About two days ago my coolant light came on. I checked the level and it was fine and also monitored the coolant temp. Then yesterday (light still on) I noticed the temp rising, almost to the red zone. The A/C quit blowing cold, and then the supercharger quit kicking in. This all seems like a temp related problem to me - any suggestion as to the root cause? I called the dealer and my service rep said it sounds like the auxiliary fan. Any of you have experience with this? What does it take to replace this fan (if that's the problem). Can I do it? Where would I get one? Thanks!

fans are right in back of the radiator. shouldnt be an issue to replace. also fire the car up and see if the fans come on as the temp rises. possibly a vapor lock in the cooling system caused by air in the system?
maybe crack the line by the i/c pump and run the car to purge the system? possibly a blocked or plugged coolant line?

Your service rep sounds right, but it might not be the fan itself, rather the temp sensor controlling the fan.
Check a wire schematic and see if you can troubleshoot the problem from that angle. If the aux fan doesn't come on and the heat goes up, things shut down as a load shedding device.

Normal operating range of the engine is 80 to 100 degrees C, the aux fan should come on at that point (100 C) to help cool the engine.
