Hi guys,
I am expecting my Carlsson DRL's to arrive any day soon but would like to have a go putting these in myself. Has anyone put these into their ML?? What about removing the existing fog lights? Does the black surrounding pull off or do I need to work at these fron underneath?
Many thanks
Andy

These arrived today but not so easy to fit as first thought. You have to paint the surround which is an average quality moulding and the bumper needs to be cut. I dont think i will be doing this myself!

Update

So after being let down by a buyer and having to return my brabus apron I decided to at least give the Carlsson units a go. I got them painted and assembled today and they will be fitted on thursday. Have to say that when painted they do look like a qaulity product now. Fingers crossed we dont run into any problems.

Hi there. Any final pictures of them on the vehicle?

Who did you order these through?

What is the quality of the fog light. We have lighting package, so I'm afraid the Carlsson fog light will be a downgrade.

Carlsson DRL's for W164

Fitted Carlsson DRL's to my W164 today. Am very happy with the installation. The dimming feature works well when the Xenon's come on, and the cornering fog lights also still operate as before.

I had the Phillips 8 DRL's before which I fitted on my C Class Merc, and these are just as bright, if not brighter than them, so I'm a happy chappy:)

I had the Carlsson DRL's w/fog lights installed today. I'm happy with them.

I don't have Bi-Xenons, so the installation didn't match the instructions. But a few emails with Carlsson and my installer got them working properly with my halogens.

Color temperature of the DRL's is higher than the halogens, but IMHO it's not so much of a difference to be annoying.

BTW, my kit did not have the Carlsson badge on the light housings...which suits me fine.

installed my led running lights today on my 2010 350. about $300 on ebay. install was easy. I now need to know where to connect 12v lead to a switched terminal in the fuse box. thanks
Carlsson said to connect the red lead to an "ignition plus" connection in the fuse box. My installer said he found a free connection within the fuse box. Sorry I can't be more specific. If you need, I can take a look at my fuse box tomorrow.
