Hi!

when my girlfriend first started my e290td today it was a bit hard to start (its -18C (-0,4F) where she is) then when she drove she says that it felt really tired. After a couple of minutes she came to a small uphill and the car died complety (out of strain). She said that it sounded like the car was to tired to start up again when she turned the ignition again. The thing is that i had the car in a workshop last week because of air in the diesel system. Could this also be air in the diesel? Any other ideas?

The diesel would be a little like gelly. If you have air in the pipes and its not fixed, the diesel been thicker the lift pump would suck all it can and if there is a wee crack it will suck the air out ( air a lot thinner).
You need to put a little petrol / rug in the tank to make sure the diesel is thin enough at those temperatures.
Starting with about 2% RUG might help, but make sure its all well mixed, you don't want to inject petrol directly, that'll kill your engine...
