Car Rally to benefit Alzheimers - Nov. 13th Charlotte - Spencer, N.C.!

Attention all Charlotte area Benz owners!

Here's a chance to show off your classic, semi-classic, modern-classic Mercedes AND help raise funds for a good cause at the same time!

We need your participation on November 13th (Saturday) at our 65 mile car rally.

This is a rally to sponsor and raise funds for Alzheimers cures. My mom has alzheimers and at 82, does not even know who I am half the time.

This is a chance to show off your CARS during a "Poker Rally" starting from Charlotte and ending at Spencer, N.C. (about 1.5 hours away)

$40.00 to attend.

I have attached a PDF with more info.

I promised the sponsor I would post this on Benzworld and would like to see some MB there. There will classic and unusual, unique cars from several countries of origin.

My wife and I would like to join you at the “Poker Rally” in Charlotte . It’s only 1 1/2 hr. away from us in SC. It’s a cause, Alzheimers, we would like to support.
Is it to late to mail the form in or should we just bring it with us and sign in there?

Same from me Frank, 4000 mls of water is just too much even for an SL500. But I'd like to wish you all the best for a successful meet. Please post some pictures. A very worthy cause, sorry to hear about your Mum.

Russ - No it is not too late. They want and will welcome as many participants as possible. Call me at my office tomorrow (704) 243-2110 and I can get you to pay cash when you arrive.

We are meeting BEHIND Southpark Mall in Charlotte - by the symphony stadium.
There will be 1,500 "WALKERS" doing a "walk-a-thon".

SEE PDF - the cars will be on display for walkers to view before they set off.
Then we (drivers) will leave in one big caravan immediately afterwards.
If you CALL me I will give you my cell phone (don't want to post that here) and we can meet on that Saturday.

SEE you Saturday Russ! We're meeting by the lot in FRONT of Dick's sporting goods which is actually on the Southwest side of the mall (they incorrectly listed it as Southeast side). You will see cars/signs as you get close.

Thanks for the update.
This is going to be a great time. We are supporting a good cause , Alzheimers , and entering our cars in a “Poker Rally.” That’s going to be a new experience for us. Just hope we don’t get lost. lol

Looks like we have THREE MB owners. I recruited one today at the gas station with a 1986 SL

I hope we get to RACE them!!! (kidding):D

Alzheimer's Fund Raiser = $50k raised & New Benz Owner Friends

Today's fund raiser was estimated to raise $50,000.00 to find a cure for Alzheimers.

Thanks mom for all you did. Even though you often don't recognize me no more.

I got to meet Russel and his lovely wife Jean from Benzworld and while there were only 3 Benz owners of about 40 cars or so - we had a great time.

Frank, it was great meeting you and your daughter today at the Alzheimer’s fund raiser. Couldn’t ask for a better November day to do our first Poker Rally. My wife and I had a great time and we didn‘t get lost.:):):):)

Hi Russel - Great meeting you and your lovely wife Jean - could not have been a finer day in the country driving "topless". HI posted the picture taken at the end - I take no responsibility for the finger in the top left however.
