Solved the first problem. It takes more than taking the line off the top of the strut. I had to take the nipple loss to let the last of the air out.:surrender:

Problem number two, the two set screws. Got one out with a bit of difficult but the one under the shock sensor was not coming out. Tried Eric's heat gun option until I thought I would start a fire but could not get it loss. Finally the allen wrench turned inside the set screw and that was it. I started the process of drilling it out and that was magic. I am at the point where I'm concidering removing the lower control arm, along with the strut, so that I can get it on the bench. Any suggestions???
