Here is my candidate for the best R107 Battery:
Advance Auto Autocraft Titanium International Part No. 49-1

I purchased this battery July 2003 - its over 16 years old.
Its longevity must be the extra Silver they put in it.
I added some distilled water for the first time when I got ambitious and decided to service all my vehicles along with my travel trailer and lawn mower.
8 batteries - all required water.

This battery is still strong.
Paid $69.42 for it 7/27/2003

That is impressive Carl... I replaced a battery in my yoke last year with an Exide, so need to wait another 15-20 years to see if it outperforms yours - assuming it's given up by then of course which I hope it won't :p

A small off topic, but the 2004 A209 I sold last year had its original battery fitted and 82k miles on the clock - and it's still going, now at 91k miles!!!
