I'm a 1 month old newbie here so this may be the wrong place.
Please guide me to the correct area for posting this as needed.

Topic. Importing to the US.
I am aware that we have a US rule for 24 year old and newer cars such as pure Euro spec W126's for example.
Is this the same for a car that meets Canadian rules? Can we import a car that is acceptable to Canadian DOT to the US if it were a 1988 or 1989 model (W124 or W126)?
If anyone knows of the correct area to research I would be most greatful and do not mind reading for myself but I have done some research here and also Google searches and Bing searches too.
Not much there and the US DOT says contact Mercedes and Mercedes says contact DOT so that is a dead end.
