I have a 1996 E320, and am looking at some AMG Aero II Monoblock wheels. 18 X 8 in front w/ a 35 offset, and 18 X 9 in back with a 38 offset. What size tires should I go with respectively? Also, is it OK to put an 18 X 9 in the back with a 38 offset, because I have seen discussions on this forum where the W 210 is recommended to have a 35 offset? Is it going to better if I put a 18 X 8 all the way around with the same size tire (for gas mileage and performance)?

Not positive about that fiment on your car, but if you're going

to go with the same-size rubber, front and rear, I'd recommend that you also go with the same size of wheels; that way you can rotate your tires and extend their life, etc. (If appearance is an issue you should be able to go with a wheel spacer from H&R or somebody in the rear....).

Re: rear tire size should be 265/35-18 if you go with an 18x9 wheel for the back

Is my gas mileage going to be terrible? If I am going to be driving a lot, then should I go with 235/40/18 all the way around with 18 X 8 wheels.
