Is it ok to use the Pentosin fluid in my hydraulic system on my CLK500?
There isnt a MB dealer around here and Pentosin is all thats available.

For the convertible top hydraulics? Yes, you can. However, if you ever get a leak in the front lock cylinder, you'll wish you hadn't - it will stain the headliner and stink.

Maybe try ebay.
MB spec.345.0 Green, power steering hydraulic fluid..Febi Bilstein Nr 21647
or,, MB spec 236.3 Yellow, power steering hydraulic fluid Febi Bilstein Nr 08972.
Green is used for below freezing environments I think.

My front latch has blown its seals already. It has been sent off to Klaus for repair. Top is stained a bit . Just trying to see what will work before I try something that wont. Waiting on cylinder to come back.

Been trying to contact Klaus for 3 days now and getting no response. So, I went to the big city and stopped at the MB dealer and bought some fluid. If my cylinder ever gets here I have something to use that works.
