The AMG rims have a slightly more negative offset to accommodate the wider tire. Stock G500 are around et63 whereas the AMG's are maybe et48 or 50. That 13 to 15mm difference may mean rubbing at full lock. But it really shouldn't be a bother in normal driving.
I dont think the spare tire cover will fit as even in the G55's, the spare tires are the same as stock G500 rims. You may also see some wheel overlap on the fender flares as the G55's Flares are wider. Please post pics if and when you do install them.
I recently purchased a 2019 G550. The rear tire and cover on the tailgate does not have a lock that prevents it from being stolen. It takes only a screw driver to remove the rear wheel, rear tire, and entire tire cover assembly. I would like some thoughts on how to secure this tailgate rear...
I fly model airplanes and removed the headrests to pivot/fold the back seats forward (to stow them). Problem is, even with mild acceleration, sometimes the seat will pivot and fall backward (totally destroying a fragile balsa wood model). Surely there's a more elegant way of securing the rear...
I bought some authentic AMG tail lamp grill guards for my 02’. The part number is 463 860 07 42... it’s the type that screws in. I got under the truck and I couldn’t find anywhere to screw them into. Any help?
