The arm rest in my 84 300d is all cracked and beat on the top. The underside however, is brand new looking. Is there anyway to take the armrest out, and flip it so the nice side is up?

You're kidding, right? Yeah, flip it upside down and let the rear passengers have an arm rest!!! Sorry, you'll have to order a cover either from the dealer or from ebay. Or do what I did, buy a used one from ebay.

Are you talking about the armrest on the door, or in the center console?

Remove Armrest

I'm a new 300d owner and bought one of the armrests from ebay for $49--it looks great. The real question is:

Does anyone know how to remove the center armrest so I can apply the cover?"

Once I have it traded out, I'll add some photos for the "greater good".

Thanks,
RM

Hmmm.

Start by removing the back cover of the upright portion of the seat. Just one screw at the bottom, then it slides out.

I believe you can see the armrest mounting once the cover is off. IIRC, it takes a really big wrench.
