When I bought my almost perfect 1992 500 SL, a new set of right and left headlight lenses and headlight doors from Mercedes came with the car. The previous owner did a complete rear and side light update. The old headlight lenses and doors are discolored and cannot be brought back to a new look like the rest. Can anyone tell me the correct proceedure to do the change as it does appear to me to be time consuming but I'm willing to give it a try..... Thanks everyone in advance.

Do Left side first ,its easyer .
Remove plastic round nut located behind side signal light pull out the signal light ,disconect socket .
Remove wiper, and two metal screws that hold the cover, slide cover out.
Pull two plastic pins from panel connectors holding black cover next to the head light
pul and lift cover out.
Remove two 8mm screws on one side and one to the other side.
Remove electr. connector ,pull headlight out, replace lense.
The right side is a litle harder.
Hope you have small heands,if not.
You will have to lift and remove the wiper reservoir and a few more screws.
But becareful not
to damage tuping and pumps.
Tuping is expensive has a heating wire inside .
