I've noticed over the past months that the negative camber on the front whells on my 83 300D has gone bad, especially in wearing out the insides of my tires.

I brought it to a shop to a diagnose the problem and they pointed out the bushings on my upper control arm are cracked and worn which was the cause..so I went ahead and ordered new bushings to arrive any day now.

Apparently they took measurements of the control arm etc. and nothing appeared to be bent or out of the normal.

While i'm swapping out the control arm bushings, is there anything else that I should replace? anything else that may be causing this? I've also noticed a little bit of play in my steering..especially at high speeds although I'm not sure if the limited traction of riding on the inside of my tires could have anything to do with this.

thanks in advance.

Visually inspect other wear items, ball joints etc. Use a separator tool to take off the ball joint on the UCA, as, if undamaged, use it again.
Rather easy procedure, support the car on the LCA to do the work, and try to level it when reinstalling the torsion bar. I just used a long correct bolt to line it back up.
You may also want to use new rubber bushings, they're cheap.
Get an alignment afterward.
Good luck and keep us posted.
